Not a problem. All quotes will be given on a per tonne/kg basis so when your metals arrive at the buyer's location they will be able to weigh them and provide an accurate reading.

In short, no. Although tradespeople will take up the majority of the users on the platform by no means is it exclusive to them. The app is for anyone in possession of metal waste looking to sell for the best price and to the buyer most convenient to them.

If the load differs from the listing, standard industry practice applies: deductions can be made from the final payment.
At the exchange point, buyers should inspect the load for accuracy. If the weight is different, the buyer can update the weight (tonnes) directly in the app and attach supporting documentation, such as a weighbridge ticket.
If there are discrepancies in material quality (e.g., unexpected items or incorrect grade), the buyer can adjust the price per tonne. Again, supporting documentation in the form of photos/videos.
All deductions must be mutually agreed upon between buyer and seller off-platform before updating the app. If you cannot come to an agreement on deductions then there is a return process in place within the app.

Sellers can set their reserve price so they never miss out.

When the seller uploads an invoice, you'll see who they are and receive a prompt asking if you know this customer or have bought from them before. If you select 'Yes,' you will proceed to make the payment. If you select 'No,' an automated check against their VAT will be performed, and the seller will be prompted to send you their details off-platform.
Once the VAT check is completed and verified, you will be prompted to request any additional documentation you need from the seller (off-platform) to feel confident in proceeding with the purchase. After you have received the necessary documentation, return to the app to make the payment into the escrow-like account.

If there is a deduction on the load, the difference will be refunded to you through your Stripe Connect account, which is why it's important to link your bank account to the platform. This ensures that we can securely process and notify you when the refund has been completed, keeping your payment and refund transactions safe and transparent.
